TOWN MEETING
SATURDAY, MARCH 14
9:00 AM
Captain Samuel Douglass Academy
Town Meeting is one of New England’s most community-driven traditions. Neighbors come together to discuss and debate local issues, decide budgets, approve taxes, and vote on the direction of the town’s future. Instead of decisions being made just on the ballot, residents make them together in the room.
Why Town Meeting Matters
- Direct voice. Residents debate and vote on warrant articles, town budget and Citizen Petition Warrant Articles.
- Local control. The community decides how tax dollars are spent and what the tax rate will be.
- Transparency and accountability. Neighbors can ask questions and hear directly from community members and local officials.
- Community decision-making. From schools to roads to town services, decisions are shaped by the people who live here – together.
Town Meeting keeps local government close to home. Brookline’s future is shaped by the neighbors who show up.
PLEASE SHOW UP.
